CAMERA STABILISATION
UltraMount
GSM 5000
Camera balanced. Data in focus.
UltraMount GSM 5000 is a three-axis stabilisation system developed for UltraCam aerial cameras. It compensates for drift, roll and pitch during flight, helping keep captures aligned and consistent.

Automatic compensation
Stabilisation against drift, roll and pitch movements.
Maximum payload capacity
10–120 kg payload for large-format aerial sensors.
Usable diameter
Mounting opening for large sensor bodies.
System weight
Mass of the GSM 5000 mounting unit.
More consistent orientation in every capture.
Installed in the aircraft, UltraMount compensates for sensor movement through hydraulic stabilisation. Camera, flight-management and stabilisation components work together to support data capture.
Real-time compensation
The three-axis gimbal automatically responds to aircraft movements.
UltraNav integration
Works with flight management and direct georeferencing.
Operating logs
Integrated logging makes operating status and fault tracking visible.
Digital control
Monitor system health and parameters through the touch encoder.
Service access
An optional lift-up mechanism simplifies access beneath the system.
Transition from GSM 4000
Backward compatibility for power and interface cables and mounting points.

Compensates for flight movements.
Drift, roll and pitch correction help maintain camera orientation. The hydraulic mechanism is designed to integrate large-format sensors into aerial platforms.
- Automatic three-axis compensation
- 10–120 kg payload range
- 425 mm usable mounting diameter
Control and access together.
The digital interface simplifies parameter settings and system monitoring. Integrated logs support diagnostics; the optional lift mechanism adds convenience for maintenance and access.
- Integration with UltraCam and UltraNav
- Integrated operating and error logs
- Optional lift-up mechanism

Stabilisation ranges
| Pitch (roll = 0°) | Up to ±10.1° |
|---|---|
| Roll (pitch = 0°) | Up to ±8.1° |
| Yaw / drift | Up to ±30.0° |
| Residual deviation without IMU assistance | ≤0.3° RMS¹ |
| Residual deviation with IMU assistance | ≤0.02° RMS¹ ² |
| Residual angular velocity | ≤0.2°/s RMS¹ |
¹ At platform angular motion <7.5°/s and a typical data-capture motion spectrum. ² IMU-assisted deviation depends on the accuracy of the IMU used.
