DJI Matrice 5TD combines three 50 MP visible-light cameras, high-resolution thermal imaging and laser rangefinding. Designed for DJI Dock 4 and the O4 Ground Station, it supports remote missions, automatic battery swapping and field operations through FlightHub 2.

Detailed imaging, day and night
Move from wide-angle imaging to a 252 mm-equivalent tele camera, and from colour views to thermal analysis with one aircraft.
Three 50 MP cameras
23.5 mm wide-angle, 70 mm medium tele and 252 mm tele cameras cover different inspection distances. All three visible-light cameras offer 50 MP effective resolution.
High-resolution thermal imaging
Use 1280 × 1024 native thermal resolution for spot and area temperature measurements. The 2560 × 2048 output of UHR mode is distinct from native sensor resolution.
Laser ranging up to 3000 m
The laser rangefinder supports up to 3000 m under specified target reflectivity and visibility conditions. Rain, fog and target angle may affect performance.
Multi-sensor awareness for extended missions
Rotating LiDAR, millimeter-wave radars and six-directional vision support environmental awareness.
Up to 59 minutes of flight
DJI specifies a maximum of 59 minutes of forward flight and 55 minutes of hovering under windless, no-payload test conditions. Actual mission duration depends on payload, weather and flight planning.¹
IP55 and a broad temperature range
The aircraft features an IP55 rating, an operating range of −40 °C to +50 °C and maximum wind resistance of 12 m/s. The IP rating is not permanent.
450 g payload capacity
A compatible accessory mount supports a maximum 450 g payload. Mission equipment such as lighting, speakers and a parachute is configured separately; mounted accessories may affect flight performance.
An automated mission cycle with Dock 4
Matrice 5TD is the aircraft in the DJI Dock 4 ecosystem. Autonomous deployment is configured with Dock 4, the O4 Ground Station and suitable software.
Automatic battery swapping
Dock 4 completes its battery swap in less than 25 seconds from the moment its cover fully closes. This is a controlled-test figure.
Remote management with FlightHub 2
Route tasks, live views, FlyTo and field-data management work within one operational workflow. The 21 m/s maximum applies only to FlyTo tasks; other modes are limited to 15 m/s.
AI-assisted detection
Onboard AI supports detection of 17 object types. Advanced workflows, third-party models and certain connectivity features depend on software, licensing and regional conditions.

¹ The 59-minute figure was measured in a windless laboratory at 20 m above sea level, without payload, flying forward at 15 m/s from 100% to 0% battery. The 55-minute hover figure also uses windless, no-payload test conditions. Operational mission duration may be shorter.
Obstacle-sensing performance varies with the environment and obstacles. 4G, mmWave radar and some features may be restricted by country. DJI Matrice 5TD must be activated through the DJI Enterprise app before use.
