TAP (Tersus Advanced Positioning)

TAP is a satellite-based precise point positioning service developed by Tersus GNSS and sold by Atay Engineering in Ankara. It enables users to achieve centimeter-level high accuracy anywhere in the world. When using TAP, there is no need for the GNSS receiver to connect to a CORS network or receive corrections from a single base (reference) station. It obtains correction information related to satellite orbit and clock sources directly from satellites broadcasting in the L-band. This service meets the needs for centimeter-level high accuracy in areas outside the coverage of the internet or CORS networks, such as seas, mountains, deserts, and high altitudes.

It receives correction data directly from satellites. There is also an option to receive corrections via the internet as a backup method.

As long as it has good satellite visibility, it operates in all regions of the world. There is no need for networks like CORS to obtain correction data. Thanks to its high signal stability, it provides 24-hour uninterrupted communication. An internet-based broadcasting service can also be used as a backup method. It is widely used in applications such as autonomous driving, precision agriculture, disaster monitoring, and similar areas.

Oscar-TAP now comes with more powerful features. Thanks to the tilt sensor, which does not require calibration and is unaffected by magnetic interference, leveling on the rod is no longer necessary.

In the Ultimate version, it is easily configurable with a 1.54″ OLED screen. The built-in high-performance, multi-frequency GNSS board ensures high accuracy and stable signal tracking. Its large-capacity internal battery is removable. Two batteries can support operation for up to 16 hours on 4G/3G/2G networks and in rover mode with a radio modem. It can be used over long distances with the built-in UHF radio module. Its robust housing provides protection for the equipment in harsh environmental conditions.
