CMS v500 Terrestrial Laser Scanner (Cavity Monitoring System) (CAVITY MONITORING SYSTEM)

The CMS V500 terrestrial laser scanner is designed for underground scanning; It is a laser-based mining tool that makes non-contact measurements in unsafe or manpower-inaccessible areas. Optech CMS, developed for practical applications; It is the standard for fast, reliable, and efficient underground cartography. CMS increases efficiency and safety with accurate measurements in hard-to-reach and dangerous areas such as ore passage and stockpiling areas from the safe area. With the CMS, the dimensions, change and volume of the underground space can be measured with thousands of laser points. In this way, it provides operators and engineers with vital information about the true nature of mines.

  • Laptop-based programming, control, and processing
  • Universally accepted data formats
Operators carry out mapping and measurement applications by delivering the CMS V500 laser scanner to the point where they will measure without entering dangerous underground areas themselves. They can perform their transactions in 4 different ways:

  • Cart Method: Allows you to place the CMS V500 horizontally.
  • Boom and Mast Method: In operation, the masts are sandwiched between the sill and the ridge to support the explosion. Each mast is 2 m long and can be extended up to 5 m. The boom moves the sensor head into the scanning position. The boom consists of five sections, each 2 m long, and can extend up to 10 m from the rear mast.
  • Tripod Method: The tripod adapter allows you to use the CMS V500 with a tripod instead of a boom. This setup is faster and sometimes more convenient than using a boom.
  • VIP (Vertical Insertion Package) Method: VIP is only used for 90° operations. A VIP set is 38 m long, multiple sets can be added together.

Advantages

  • Data comparison
  • Examination and increase of ore transitions
  • Ability to check data quality immediately
  • Ability to monitor from a safe zone
  • Measurement of inaccessible and unsafe areas
  • Easy to use with a single operator
  • Retrieve data results regardless of harsh underground conditions (humid, dust)
  • Less danger
  • Data transfer to 3rd party software

WHY CMS V500?

  • Built-in Camera: 1 MP camera, automatic white balance, flashlight for dark areas, live image transmission for instant inspection, ability of displaying ore and stock areas with photos.
  • Accurate Geolocation Models: This terrestrial laser scanner increases measurement accuracy by minimizing errors.
  • Ability to Work in Different Environments: It complies with IP65 standards, allowing you to work in gaseous and dusty environments.
  • Instant Visualization: Provides simultaneous data review and validation to check data quality before leaving the location.
  • 360° × 320° Field of View: Provides full and complete data in a single scan.
  • Working with Wi-Fi and Internal Battery: Does not need power and communication cables.
