Vexcel Imaging UltraCam Falcon Mark 2

Vexcel UltraCam Falcon Mark 2 Photogrammetric Camera System is one of the most advanced “Large Format” photogrammetric camera systems in the world, developed by Vexcel, with its revolutionary 3rd generation camera architecture in photogrammetry. With an image size of 17,310 x 11,310 pixels, it offers its users the opportunity to view large areas in a very short time. And, with the 1.35 second frame capture rate it offers to its users, it provides the opportunity to obtain high resolution images at low altitudes. Two different image sizes and two different fixed lens systems were introduced according to the different needs of users.

Users can take advantage of a choice of 100mm or wide-angle 70mm lenses. In addition to the PAN and RGB sensors, it also features the UltraCam Falcon Mark 2 infrared sensor for classification projects.

OPERATIONAL SPECIFICATION

  • Flight altitude: ≤ 7000 m above sea level
  • Humidity: 5 % to 95 % no condensation
  • Temperature: 0 °C to +45 °C (operation, computer stack) -20 °C to +45 °C (operation, sensor stack) -20 °C to +65 °C (storage)
  • Mounting: UltraMounts (GSM 4000 & GSM 3000) and most current third-party mounts
  • GNSS/INS/FMS system support: UltraNav (Applanix POSTrack OEM) and most current third-party systems
  • Data processing: UltraMap processing suite including data export in standard formats

For tasks needing a lot of forward overlap at greater aircraft speeds, the UltraCam Falcon is perfect.

The UltraCam Falcon Mark 2 is perfect for flying high resolution projects at lower altitudes with its 1.35 second frame rate.

The system can be modified within the photogrammetric nadir UltraCam product line through refurbishment to satisfy the changing needs of data acquisition companies.

By incorporating all components within the sensor head, the device, like all UltraCams, responds to the expanding demand for lighter sensor packages with smaller form factors.
